Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or date of birth into a search tool on our site, that input goes to the outside provider that runs the search. The provider processes it and returns the results. We do not keep or log the terms you enter on our end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email, we keep that message so we can answer it. Your message stays with our team, and we will not share it outside our organization unless the law requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page on this site loads, our servers record some technical details about the visit:
- Your device type and operating system
- Which browser you use and its version
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The site that referred you here, if any
- The pages you viewed and how long you stayed on each
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, which are small files stored on your device, to see how visitors move through the site and which pages draw the most traffic. Analytics services help us combine that traffic data. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Keeping the site running and loading quickly
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing ads that may match your interests
- Learning which pages help people and which need work
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, keep, build, or sell databases of warrants or personal warrant-record information. We publish general guidance about where Calcasieu Parish warrant records are held and how to request them under the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., through the clerk, the courts that issue warrants, and the Sheriff's Office. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Anything you type into those tools is handled under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state resources, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and their privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- Analytics services we use to measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to protect the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever completely safe. We do what we can to keep your information secure, but we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, state and federal privacy and consumer-protection law may give you additional rights over your data. At a minimum, you can:
- Have us correct information that is wrong
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
- Ask us to erase your data
Updates to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the revised version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle your information.
Effective date: September 14, 2026
